ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿

A group of faculty and students from ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ and Claremont McKenna College recently visited Birzeit University in the West Bank to learn more about Palestinian higher education institutions.

A highlight of the May trip was a meeting with Birzeit University President Beshara Doumani (and others), who discussed the challenges facing the university and other universities.

The tour’s faculty leaders were ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿â€™s Nigel Boyle, Dan Segal, and CMC’s Heather Ferguson.

ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ faculty participants were Bahar Acu (Mathematics), Fely Catan (Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures), Amanda Lagji (English and World Literature), and Marcus Rodriguez (Psychology). 

ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ student participants were Bella Jacobs, Jacob Bollag, Fatoumata Dioubate, Laine May, and Leila Tilin.
