About the Office of Fellowships
Dr. Noosha Malek
Director, Office of Fellowships & Scholarships
Noosha Malek received her BA degree in International Studies at California State University, Long Beach. She also completed an academic year abroad in Paris, France, which became the catalyst for her pursuit of a career promoting cultural understanding. She received her doctorate in educational leadership at the University of Southern California. At USC, her research explored the paradox of internationalization at community colleges.
Dr. Malek started her professional career at USC, where she first worked in international admissions and student affairs. She transitioned to academic affairs for what would become a ten-year career managing competitive fellowship and scholarship programs. She also led the university to receive continuous distinction as a 鈥淭op Fulbright-Producing Institution鈥 and expanded its scholarship and student engagement efforts.
Dr. Malek has presented and published on cultural identity and received university recognition for her leadership in international education. An avid traveler with a love for adventure, she enjoys spending her free time with her family taking in new experiences near and far.
Anezka Boyle
Program Coordinator, Office of Fellowships & Scholarships
Anezka Boyle received her BA degree in Russian and Eastern European Studies at Scripps College with a minor in German studies. Upon graduation, she worked as a Visiting English Tutor at Lingnan University in Hong Kong. In 2020, she was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to teach English in Kazakhstan, which she extended by a year in order to gain greater experience in cultural and language-centered program coordination with the U.S. Embassy's 'American Corner' community education centers. Her affinity towards education was emboldened by a media literacy outreach project she conducted in collaboration with Fulbright Kazakhstan.
In 2023, she was awarded a further Fulbright scholarship to undertake specialized coursework in peace, mediation and conflict research at Tampere University in Finland. In her free time, Anezka is an avid traveler, language-learning enthusiast, and amateur chef! Her extensive experience across teaching, program management, cross cultural exchange, and international education has led her to 黑料正能量's Office of Fellowships, where she is excited to help students in their academic and professional pursuits!
